Dana Zane Fan Club (often abbreviated to DZFC or the Fan Club) is a netlabel founded in 207X (2026) by Mimi Marzipan and Jill Stingray.
The label puts out whatever its members finish, at whatever length it happens to be, and asks nothing for it. It currently has no house genre, no release schedule, and no stated intention of acquiring either. What distinguishes it from every other netlabel on the internet is a question the Fan Club has declined to answer.
As of 2026, the label has released two records, all of them free to download. The records are free because charging for them would make the fan club a business, and nobody involved wants to find out what that would entail.

History
The Fan Club was founded on a slow weeknight at the bar where Jill works, after a long evening of rambling on Mimi's part.[citation needed]
The first release took two months to make, most of which were spent not working on it. I'm Inventing You had already come out on Animal Hospital by the time the fan club existed to release it, so the label's debut is technically a re-release.
Name
The label is named after Dana Zane, who owns the bar where Jill works and who has apparently not been informed that a fan club exists in her name.[citation needed] There is no membership or newsletter (yet), nor an agreed-upon list of what the fan club admires about her. When asked to explain the name, Mimi has said that a fan club is simply the kind of thing one starts about a person one thinks well of, and that the music came later and is incidental.

Sister label
The fan club's sister label is Animal Hospital, a collective founded in 2025 by Mouse de Topi. Animal Hospital released I'm Inventing You before the Dana Zane Fan Club existed to release it, which makes the Fan Club, strictly speaking, the younger sister.
The website
The fan club maintains a website, which is this one.[obviously] It is written and illustrated by Mimi (with a little help from Jill), hosted on Neocities, and includes a toy box, a guestbook, and at least one thing that isn't listed anywhere.
Trivia
- There is a cat in the Fan Club's HQ. It has never been given a permanent name. Mimi calls it something different every time, and it answers to all of them, which she takes as proof that she has been right every time.
- The founding year is disputed. The website says 207X. The records say 2026. Extracting a straight answer about this discrepancy has been impossible.
